Racing - T1PS/Chris Livengood

Livengood last competed a week ago aboard his Turn1 ProSports Birel in the TAG class at the Wampum, Pa Beaverun Motorsports Park. The event was a two day race that closed out the month of July.

Saturday saw Livengood qualify fifth and within two tenths of first place. For the prefinal Livengood entered the track prepared. After having made a few chassis changes he managed to push his T1PS Birel through the field for a third place finish. The final brought change from the sunny skies and forced competitors to mount rain treads and race on a damp track. Livengood advanced to second at the start and pushed the leader hard until the checkered flag. Livengood gained the lead at one point but was not able to hold off the to be winner. The gap to the leader was less than a second at the line.

Sunday saw dry conditions again but a dirty track. Livengood was able to improve on Saturdays qualifying performance and grabbed the third starting position. The green flag flew on the prefinal and Livengood pushed hard however he only managed to hold his third position. A few laps later he pulled off a pass entering turn four and grabbed the second spot. He followed Saturdays winner Daniel Hewes home for a second finishing position. A few minor items were fine tuned on the T1PS Birel and Livengood felt confident in his second starting position. At the green Livengood timed the start perfectly and gained the lead. The competition couldn't keep pace with the red package and Livengood went on to win with the second place battle coming to line several seconds behind.

Livengood will next campaign the T1PS Birel at Beaverun on August 15 and 16th.
